WHY ZAMBIA
Zambia is a dynamic, young and peaceful nation located at the heart of southern Africa. Zambia has access to a neighbouring market of 320 million people and preferential regional trade ties through COMESA and AfCFTA, as well as political cooperation with its neighbours via SADC.
Since independence in 1964, Zambia has benefitted from an uninterrupted period of peace and stability, with orderly, multi-party, democratic elections taking place since 1991.
Zambia is home to abundant natural resources, including some of the highest-grade copper deposits on the planet, as well as large quantities of cobalt and nickel, all of which are needed for the global transition to clean energy.
The New Dawn government is working to transform Zambia into a premier FDI location and is committed to working closely with private sector players through the Public-Private Dialogue Forum and Zambia Development Agency.
The ‘Zambia Is Back’ campaign is supported by the Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) and works to champion private sector investment in Zambia and facilitate relationships between government and businesses.
